Ben Ortiz Named Holiday Inn Express GM

Ben Ortiz, an 18-year hospitality industry veteran with extensive Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brand experience, has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn Express Manhattan Midtown West on West 48th Street.

He formerly served M&R as general manager of the Radisson Hotel New York Wall Street and the Holiday Inn New York JFK Airport Area, from 2019-2020 and again from 2021-2022. Prior to that, he was rooms director of the Holiday Inn New York City - Lower East Side.

His hospitality experience includes roles as front office manager, night manager, revenue manager and guest service manager.

As he built his career, Ben made mentoring a priority, helping his staff build their own careers and creating winning teams. “If you love what you do, you’ll inspire others,” he said. “Teaching and coaching others helps them reach the next level and prepare the leaders of tomorrow.”
