M&R honored the company’s “best of the best” — its top performers for 2023 — at an awards ceremony last month hosted by Amit Gandhi, president & CEO; Manish Patni, executive vice president; and Brian McSherry, chief operating officer.
The Fairfield New York Manhattan/Central Park held a reception for local corporate travel managers in December to familiarize them with the hotel, its convenient location for business, comfortable guest rooms and numerous amenities. Hosting the event was Dayle Nuzzolese, business travel sales manager, who joined the hotel’s sales team last year.
Among the M&R hotels that are reaching out to support nonprofit organizations in their communities is the Comfort Inn Prospect Park – Brooklyn, which established a relationship with the local chapter of Lifespire, a nearby day treatment facility for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
When Savi Singh, director of operations at the Best Western JFK Airport Hotel, decided to design a custom 2024 calendar featuring the hotel’s associates, the entire team — from the front desk to the night auditor -- wholeheartedly embraced the idea.
One of M&R’s core beliefs when it comes to its workforce is the importance of promoting from within whenever possible. Promoting from within demonstrates to ambitious staff members that they can build a career in hospitality at M&R, not just hold the job they were hired for, that they can add experience at other hotel brands, enriching their resume, without having to move on.
