Wanted: Corporate Travelers

The Fairfield New York Manhattan/Central Park held a reception for local corporate travel managers in December to familiarize them with the hotel, its convenient location for business, comfortable guest rooms and numerous amenities. Hosting the event was Dayle Nuzzolese, business travel sales manager, who joined the hotel’s sales team last year.

The reception was declared a success. Dayle characterized it as “more of a networking event, but an important first step.

“Corporate travel programs are a major source of bookings in major markets like New York, where M&R has significant inventory. Consequently, part of my job is to encourage the travel managers to include the Fairfield on its list of approved hotels their travelers can book when their travel brings them to the city.”

The hotel offers a negotiated rate based on a projected number of room nights booked in a given time period, Dayle said. An additional plus in the Fairfield hotel’s favor is the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which awards points for future stays, travel and merchandise. Most corporate travelers are allowed to keep their points.

Dayle, a 15-year hospitality industry veteran, is a member of the New York chapter of the Global Business Travel Association, a trade group for corporate travel managers.
