Margarita Garcia, general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West, has been honored in the November-December issue of Hotel Management magazine as one of its 2023 “General Managers to Watch.”
Virtual and in-person meetings have been scheduled through Dec. 8 to assist M&R associates select benefits for 2024.
Consistent with M&R’s long tradition of supporting charitable causes, associates representing four M&R hotels joined the corporate People & Culture team and family members to participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in New York City’s Central Park.

Andy Persaud joined M&R in March 2018 and today is chief engineer at the Fairfield New York Manhattan/Central Park. A year later his father, Anil Persaud, joined the company and today is engineering supervisor at the Holiday Inn New York City – Times Square. The two hotels are roughly a mile apart on Manhattan’s West Side. They are likely the only parent and child working at different hotels within M&R.
