Booking.com Honors Five M&R Properties
Booking.com, a popular online hotel booking site, has honored five M&R-managed hotels in its Traveller Review Awards 2023: Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South, Fairfield by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park and TownePlace Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square, all in New York, and Fairfield by Marriott Joplin in Missouri and Hampton Inn Mount Vernon in Illinois.
Under the direction of General Manager David Ruas, the six-year-old, 250-room Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South is located on West 37th Street, between Eighth and Ninth avenues, close to New York Penn Station, the Javits Convention Center and Empire State Building.
A recent Booking.com review praised the hotel for its location and cleanliness. “Everything was very good,” the reviewer wrote.
The 224-room Fairfield by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park, led by General Manager Yan Chung and located on West 58th Street, opened in 2016. It is near Columbus Circle, the Museum of Natural History, Upper West Side retail shops and Central Park.
“The location was perfect, and the staff was simply exceptional,” the reviewer wrote. “This hotel was perfectly accommodating.”
The 114-room TownePlace Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square, also a Marriott brand, specializes in hosting extended-stay guests. The property opened in 2018 on West 44th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues. Nearby points of interest include the Broadway theater district and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The newly appointed general manager is Steven Lamour,
“Absolutely everything was amazing,” said a reviewer. “The staff was so kind. The room was immaculate and pretty spacious for NYC.”
The 62-room Fairfield by Marriott Joplin opened in 1997 on South Rangeline Road seven miles from the local regional airport and 2.4 miles from the nearest shopping mall. Directed by General Manager Tanya Bogenrief, the hotel features an indoor swimming pool.
A recent Booking.com review made special mention of the hotel’s location, guest room cleanliness and comfortable beds, adding: “The room was spacious and featured a newer television.”
Open since 1998 on Potomac Boulevard in Mount Vernon, Illinois, the Hampton Inn Mount Vernon, a Hilton brand, is located between two interstate highways, three miles from the Mount Vernon town center. General Manager Melissa Bruce oversees the 101-room property, which features an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
