Comic Con Guests Bring Excitement to the Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South

Guest service agents on the front desk at the Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South are accustomed to seeing a range of guests checking in. The majority are traditional business and leisure travelers. Occasionally, however, guests show up that break the norm. Most recently, that occurred the first week of October when the annual New York Comic Con was held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on 11th Avenue at 34th Street.

The Comic Con event attracts fans of comic characters that appear in newspapers, graphic novels, anime, manga, movies and television. Many fans dress up in costume, including several who checked into the Hilton Garden Inn. General manager David Ruas noted the hotel is in easy walking distance to the Javits Center, making it a logical choice for Comic Con fans from out of town.
