It’s Time to Make Your Nominations for M&R’s Year-End Awards

M&R Hotel Management is pleased to reintroduce its annual Year-End Awards program, which honors employees who have gone “above and beyond” in the performance of their duties, exceeding the expectations of their coworkers and managers. The program also honors one property in the M&R portfolio as Hotel of the Year.

The awards program had been suspended since 2019 due to the pandemic.

Employees are invited to nominate other M&R team members, whether they work in the same property or not, in one of the following award categories:

  • Back of House Employee of the Year
  • Front of the House Employee of the Year
  • Supervisor of the Year
  • Manager of the Year
  • Salesperson of the Year
  • Corporate Employee of the Year

Employees also may nominate one of M&R’s properties as Hotel of the Year.

After selecting a nominee and award category, employees are asked to write several sentences supporting their recommendations. The final step is to click the “Submit” button. The deadline for all submissions is Monday, Nov. 28.

M&R’s Executive Team will select winners in each of the categories. Winners will be contacted individually and announced in the January edition of M&R Team News. Prizes include monetary awards, plaques and an invitation to an awards luncheon at Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson.

To qualify for a Year-End Award in any category, nominees will be screened to confirm they fulfill the following requirements:

  • One year of continuous service with M&R
  • Current Performance Appraisal rating of a “3” or better
  • No active verbal or written warnings within the past six months
  • No more than two incidents, which were the result of unsafe work practices, in 2022
  • No accidents, which were the result of unsafe work practices, in 2022
