M&R Expands with Boutique Hotel in New York’s Chelsea Neighborhood
M&R recently signed an agreement to manage the 56-room Selina Chelsea NYC in the heart of Chelsea’s art and cultural scene and rebrand it as the Hotel Alameda at the High Line.
Located at 518 W. 27th St., the contemporary hotel features a rooftop bar and restaurant with panoramic city views, an all-day cafe and an underground bar.
One of the hotel’s biggest draws is its prime location near the High Line, a linear park built on an abandoned elevated railroad line. Its green spaces, art installations and scenic Hudson River views attract thousands of visitors. Additionally, Chelsea Market, an indoor food and retail marketplace housed in a historic biscuit factory, is a short walk away.
“This strategic addition to M&R’s portfolio marks an exciting chapter in the company’s commitment to expanding the portfolio,” said Peter Nichols, vice president of development, adding that the rebranding will complement strategic initiatives focused on guest satisfaction, operational excellence and innovative hospitality.
