Team Members Receive a Special Thank You
A couple who recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites New York Midtown Manhattan/Park Avenue, took an extraordinary a step to thank associates for a job well done. They singled out the hotel’s front desk supervisor, Jasmine Jones, and a guest service agent, Darrin Diehl, in a letter to the hotel and sent some small gifts for the unsuspecting pair.
“Thanks for having helped my husband in his wheelchair,” the wife wrote. “That was very nice of you. (We are) going to recommend people to this hotel.” In a separate note to Jasmine, the guest wrote, “Good people in our vocabulary are never forgotten. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.”
Unfortunately, other service providers the couple encountered after checking out weren’t as considerate. The wife, for example, described being overcharged by a taxi driver and said a bus driver didn’t help her wheelchair-bound husband.
For their part, Jasmine and Darrin are pleased with the recognition. But they noted that they treated the couple as they would any guest, especially those with special needs.
