Wellness and Work-Life Balance Top New Year's Resolutions

A significant majority of employees who took last month’s M&R Team News survey picked wellness and work-life balance as their top New Year’s resolutions for 2025.

Specifically, 28.57% of employees picked “healthier lifestyle and fitness goals,” including eating better, exercising more and losing weight, while 22.86 % selected “more work-life balance,” including spending more time with family and friends and less on social media.

In a three-way tie at 14.29% were “professional development,” whether career advancement or education; “learning a new skill or hobby or making time for hobbies;” and “other,” which prompted write-in resolutions, including helping the less fortunate and traveling.

Denise Pazmino, sales coordinator at the Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South, was the lucky winner of a $100 gift card in a random drawing of employees who entered their names on the survey.

“We thank everyone who participated in the survey and wish everyone success in their personal and professional goals,” said Cleo Clarke, vice president of the People & Culture department. “May your resolutions guide you to new achievements, growth and fulfillment in 2025. Remember, every step you take brings you closer to your dreams, so never stop striving and believing in yourself.”
