Your Valuable Medical Benefits
M&R-provided medical, dental. vision and prescription insurance represent a highly valuable component of your employment compensation – benefits that few people can afford to purchase on their own. They are key to helping keep you and your family healthy.
New employees are eligible to receive these benefits on the first of the month after 30 days on the job. Once associates become eligible, they receive an email link to www.ease.com, where they can review their options and enroll in the plan of their choice.
Different plans have different deductibles, coinsurance payments and maximum out-of-pocket provisions.
You also may establish a Health Savings Account, or HSA, to set aside pre-tax dollars for current or future out-of-pocket health expenses. Unused HSA funds are rolled over from one year to another and can be used at any time in the future.
Metro New York employees may choose one of two UnitedHealthcare medical plans, both designated EPO, for Exclusive Provider Organization. With an EPO plan, you generally can see any in-network provider and don’t need a designated primary care physician or a referral to see a specialist.
United Healthcare’s EPO NY and EPO HSA NY plans both offer in-network coverage on the Oxford Liberty Network. The Oxford Liberty Network provides access to 119,000 physicians and other health-care professionals across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as well as access to providers nationwide for employees when traveling outside the Oxford service area.
Associates in Florida, West Virginia and the Midwest enjoy the same United Healthcare coverage. To access it, they should choose the Choice Plus network.
You can choose from two different United Healthcare dental plans: the Base DPPO and the Buy-Up DDPO. Both offer in-network, out-of-network and orthodontic coverage. The company also offers employees the opportunity to enroll in Oxford’s Vision Primary Plan, which includes in-network and out-of-network coverage.
